Hiking Red Rocks Canyon, Las Vegas

We heard it was National Trails Day... So we went and did some venturing on one of the most beautiful trails here on the west coast, at Red Rocks Canyon in Las Vegas, NV. I, Nicole here at Women Who Hike visit Nevada often for work, so I have been called to this area where the scenery is breathtaking, the trails all a different variety, each with their with unique features. Red Rocks Canyon is a National Conservation Land that is one of 873 federally recognized areas and is part of 32 million acres of National Monuments, Wilderness Study Areas, Wild and Scenic Rivers, National Historic Trails and Conservation Lands of the California Deserts. The National Conservation Lands are uniquely diverse and include Red Rock Deserts (seen here), Indian Dwellings and Alaskan Tundras just to name a few. These lands, monuments and trails are managed by the BLM. To learn more and support your National Conservation Lands, visit blm.gov

We at WomenWhoHike are appreciative and grateful to all the people and organizations who care for and maintain our trails!
