Merrell Capra Waterproof
Trail Tuesday Gear Review & My, @Im_NicoleMarie’s love affair with this versatile, double duty hiker by @MerrellOutside, the Capra Waterproof. We at @WomenWhoHike are big fans of the Capra lineup by Merrell, because of the solid and trusty sole, great arch support, a vast lineup of color options and long, comfortable wearability. This shoe does it all… including getting wet, as seen here. While this shoe isn’t your classic hydro hiker, it is great for mixed terrain hiking while hiking, backpacking and camping and is great for all sorts of different locations and adventures. I recently got these just before Hawaii and also wore them while camping in the backcountry of Mt Charleston Wilderness in Nevada where crossing of streams was in order on the way to find camp. This shoe features a waterproof leather upper that since testing myself, I found dries pretty darn fast! With moisture being the name of the game when it comes to waterproof shoes, Merrell thought of everything by including M Select™ FIT.ECO blended EVA contoured footbed with organic odor control. Other features include TrailProtect padding for further protection while hiking rough terrain, an air cushioned heel to help absorbs shock and provides stability. I also can’t say enough good things about the Vibram Mega Grip sole on these shoes, especially after getting them wet. I was able to hike through and do some rock scrambling with no slippage after getting the soles wet providing much confidence during my trek. If you’re looking for a low hiker, we at @WomenWhoHike highly suggest looking at the Capra by @MerrellOutside, there are a bevy of options to meet your needs, and you can direct your questions to us about which one is for you by DM-ing us or taking a look at the Merrell website: www.merrell.com
