Merrell Eagle
TRAIL TUESDAY REVIEW: Ever heard the saying “everything old is new again” …well it rings true in this case with the new Eagle. In my, @Im_Nicolemarie, hand, is another throwback style from Merrell, the Travel Light which has a funny story behind it. While in Puerto Rico with the Merrell Team I mentioned I had found these on eBay and purchased them and it was then I learned that Merrell was bringing back their 80’s styles and they would be available for purchase AND here they are! I have worn the Eagle now in a few different terrains: hiking high gain to Cucamonga Peak, mixed terrain at Red Rocks Canyon and a wooded adventure through the Charleston Wilderness. So, these boots are getting high praise from me. Looks and style aside, they are roomy in the toe, have great ankle support and a reliable tread for rocky and loose trail elements. Specs and highlights include breathable mesh lining treated with M Select™ FRESH reduces shoe odor, EVA removable footbed, molded nylon arch shank, Merrell air cushion in the heel and an M Select Grip outsole. And they come in three colors and they make them for men as well.
Even the shoes I am holding, the vintage ones are of great style and high quality for hiking. Which, goes to show you the reliability and longevity of what Merrell has to offer. Both @SavNorthwest and I @Im_NicoleMarie stand by every Merrell product we write about and share here at @WomenWhoHike. If you are looking for a shoe or boot that works for your skill level and set terrain, please DM us! We are happy to help you in the process find the ‘golden slipper’ with our experience and the help of the Merrell Team!
Happy Trail Tuesday Ladies.
