Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL1 MtnGlo

Camping and backpacking season are here and today I want to talk about all of the great product that Big Agnes makes for ‘sleeping in the dirt.’ I’ve been a Big Agnes user for a couple of years now, and that started with my Copper Spur UL2. I had long heard from so many people who raved about the quality and durability of their tents. Since then, I have upgraded my camping collection which now includes the Tufly and also the Copper Spur HV UL1 MtnGlo since I am now doing more backpacking alone.

Pictured here is the Copper Spur HV UL1 MtnGlo. It was my go to tent during the Southwest Road Trip and I also recently took it up into the Sierra range. Based on the features of the award-winning Copper Spur ultralight tents, the Copper Spur HV UL design features a higher pole architecture which results in more overall room inside without the addition of added weight. Packed weight is 2lbs and 9oz with a floor size of 20 sq feet and 38” head height when inside. The MtnGlo feature uses durable LED lights sewn into the overhead seams that illuminate the interior of the tent, so if you need light in the middle of the night, there’s no need to go looking around for your headlamp.

Another thing that Big Agnes does that you may not know about is… sleeping bags specifically for women. There is currently 13 of them in their lineup and they range from 30 degrees down to 0 degrees. Pair any system bag with a sleeping pad from Big Agnes to take advantage of their sleeping system which is a GAME CHANGER. The bags have an integrated sleeve that allow for your sleeping pad to slide into to keep you both warm and comfortable all night long. I started using this system about a year ago and don’t know how I did without it for so long! Check out all the Big Agnes tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, pillows and even jackets, camp chairs by going to their website, bigagnes.com.
