Garmin Fenix 5S Plus
A few months ago I transitioned from a Garmin Vivoactive 3 to the Fenix 5S Plus and it honestly has SO many features that it has taken me this long to get used to all of them! A huge reason for my transition was the built in routable TOPO maps. Not only can I keep track of my mileage and fitness specs while hiking but I can also read maps right on my watch as I am hiking along. While I still have and use my Garmin In Reach, I find myself pulling it out a lot less on the trail because most all the features I need for the trail are now right on my wrist. Full-color TOPO mapping comes preloaded with map data optimized for at-a-glance navigation and location tracking, multinetwork satellite reception to track in more challenging environments, and built in altimeter, barometer and compass.
The Fenix 5S Plus which I have been wearing is made especially for women with a 42 mm case size and features a bright, sunlight readable 1.2-inch display, which is almost a 20% increase over the fēnix 5S, meaning users don’t have to sacrifice screen size for a watch fit for smaller wrists. Since we women also love color and variety, the watch comes in four different colors, including a stunning rose gold-tone with white band!
The Fenix 5 Plus series is THE next generation of GPS multisport watches with built-in routable TOPO maps, storage for music playlists, Garmin Payâ„¢ contactless payments and SO MUCH MORE.

It connects with your phone via Bluetooth, allowing you to keep your phone in your pack to spend more time connecting with the outdoors. You can still receive emails, texts and alerts to your watch and even listen to your Spotify playlists (if you have a premium membership) through Bluetooth headphones.
