Women Who Hike x Whoa Travel

We are very excited to announce a partnership with WHOA travel for 2020! Whoa travel is a boutique high adventure travel company for fun adventurous women by fun adventurous women. WHOA travel is all about coming together and encouraging each other to step outside of our comfort zones and take on the world!

“Hi! We’re Allison Fleece and Danielle Thornton (aka Dallison) and we’re the founders of WHOA travel— an adventure travel company for women by women that brings adventurers together to take on epic experiences around the world. Above all, we believe in the power of women and that together we can do more than climb mountains, we can move them!

We met in 2013 while planning our first (but certainly not last) Kilimanjaro hike. We were both so moved and changed by our experience in Tanzania and hiking Kilimanjaro that we wanted to share this experience with other women. We poured ourselves into building WHOA and eventually took a leap of faith, quit our jobs in International Education and Advertising to share our passion and unique style of travel with other women. Today, our passion project has turned into our full time careers, have adventures on 6 continents, and we’ve become so much more than an adventure experience company. WHOA is a beautiful community of women who come together from all different walks of life and backgrounds to support one another in our goals while having a helluva good time. WHOA is dedicated to being a force of good in adventure travel and reducing the negative impacts traveling can have on the environments they love to explore. Whether it’s Tanzania, Peru or Nepal, WHOA always make it a point with every aspect of their adventures to sustainably support local women and women owned businesses, from the guides they partner with, to the cafes they eat at, to the activities they plan. Additionally, WHOA’s commitment to the environment supports carbon offsetting programs, encourages trail cleanups on their adventures, engages in reforestation efforts, and discourages the use of single use plastic on all of their adventures!”
